In December it is time for some jobs on the boat. The kitchen cupboards and the chart table are painted and our spanish upholsterer took care for new upholstery.
Also, one of the bilge pumps had to be replaced. Less visible, but very important. Our supplier, Marine Sur, deliverd everthing we needed on board.
Many sailors have problems with Spaniards when it comes to agreements relating to the delivery of products and services. Manana, manana, is a common complain. However, it happens very rarely that Canarianen fail to meet their commitments. Perhaps it helps that we speak a little Spanish and always start in Spanish. Most do speak english, though.
